First Ukrainian tank crews ready to operate Challenger 2 tanks, AS90 howitzer operators to graduate soon – Technology Org
The first group of Ukrainian military personnel successfully completed mastering Challenger 2 tanks. Their colleagues from the artillery division are expected to complete similar training on AS90 self-propelled howitzers.

Both training programs are being conducted in the United Kingdom. British daily newspaper The Guardian reported that Challenger 2 operator courses have been finished by the first Ukrainian graduates on March 27.
The announcement about AS90 training nearing the end has been posted on Telegram by the First Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksandr Pavliuk.
“The training was completed after UK military officials spent several weeks structuring the Ukrainian personnel in how to operate and fight with Challenger 2 tanks,” wrote The Guardian with reference to the statement by the UK Ministry of Defence.

Defense Express notes that while the training programs are being carried out on British soil, the necessary technical, financial and organizational support is also being provided by a range of other allied countries, including Sweden, Canada, Denmark, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway , Lithuania, and Australia.
“AS90 training is taking place in a specialized facility under the control of the Royal School of Artillery, being conducted by officers and soldiers from the Royal Artillery Regiment,” commented Oleksandr Pavliuk.
The Ukrainian Deputy Minister also revealed that more than 1,000 British soldiers and technical personnel participate in the AS90 training programme.
