Confirmed: Poland and Slovakia will transfer MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine – Technology Org
Why MiG-29 is better for Ukraine than F-16s, for the time being? Because Ukrainians can use MiG-29s for military operations right away, which also makes it easier to wait for modern Western aircraft.

At the meeting of defense ministers of the EU member states on Wednesday in Sweden, representatives of Poland confirmed they would agree to a joint procedure between Slovakia and Poland in handing over a batch of MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine.
According to the words of Yaroslav Nady, the Minister of Defense of Slovakia, Polish president Andrzej Duda has confirmed that Poland is going to agree to provide the MiG-29 fighters jointly with Slovakia.
It’s time to make a decision [for Slovakia]. People are dying in Ukraine, we can help, there is no space for Slovakian politicization. It’s inhumane and irresponsible,” Yaroslav Nady said.
We are ready to provide these aircraft. And I’m sure that Ukraine would be ready to use them instantly because Ukraine has pilots able to operate these planes,” Andrzej Duda stated.
