The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced the new arrival on Telegram.

“A hexacopter and an unmanned aircraft were specially designed on request from intelligence officers. Both UAVs are resistant to EW systems,” the announcement said.

The funds needed to develop these two unmanned flyers were collected by a volunteer organization using crowdfunding campaigns. Two models have been designed since then: the Raider hexacopter and the Raider VTOL (vertical take-off and landing) unmanned aerial vehicle.

According to the news posted in Ukrinform, the final aircraft calibration has been performed successfully and they are now fully ready to conduct combat missions.

Raider VTOL reconnaissance aircraft achieves a maximum flight distance of up to 30 km (18.6 miles). It can transmit video data from an onboard thermal imaging camera.

The second model – Raider hexacopter – has a lower range of up to 15 km (9.3 miles) when flying without any payload, for example, when performing reconnaissance operations. It can carry loads up to 4 kg, but then the maximum flight range decreases to 8 km (5 miles). This model is also equipped with a thermal imager.

According to the developers, both drones are resistant to electronic warfare systems similar to those used by the invading Russian forces.
