Off-road supercar Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato – how fast can you go without asphalt? – Technology Org

It’s a gift from Lamborghini to its fans – and a goodbye to the V10 powertrain. The Huracán Sterrato is officially the last non-hybrid model from the manufacturer’s range.

The emission regulations are becoming extremely tight for gasoline and diesel engines. This means that transitioning to hybrid and later to battery-powered models is inevitable, even for the supercar makers.

But this gradual parting with V10 and V8 engines surely doesn’t need to be sad. So this time the company decided to make a proper party by taking its signature supercar literally off-road.

Huracán Sterato is based on Huracán Evo. It has ground clearance increased by 47 mm (almost 2 inches), enhanced front approach, and a departure angle. It is fitted with 20-inch wheels and special off-road tires to increase grip.

Huracán Sterrato uses a modified LDVI (Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata) system which now includes a predictive logic unit controlling all aspects of the car’s behavior which is even capable of anticipating the driver’s actions to further improve the overall dynamics.

Of course, the Huracán Sterrato also comes with a reinforced frame and uses skid pads to protect itself against debris. It also uses front-mounted fog lights and even has a roof rack – allegedly to complete its aggressive exterior style.

The exact technical specifications of this particular Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato model are not known. It is also not known if it is a 4-wheel drive. However, it likely has 631 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque, similar to the Lamborghini Huracán EVO.

With all that power, you need only to remember that Huracán Sterrato is by no means a jeep. Although we must admit that this concept model is one of the most impressive demonstrations of supercar abilities.
